The Diocese of Grand Island currently has four men in the seminary. Because they are restricted from having jobs while in the seminary, meeting their financial needs is sometimes difficult for them. Consider sponsoring one of our seminarians with spiritual, emotional and financial support. You can do it as an individual, a family, a parish committee or a parish.
Suggestions are:
1. Pray frequently for the seminarian (Mass, rosary, adoration)
2. Send a birthday card on his birthday and holidays.
3. Send two forms of communication per month--greeting card, personal note, black socks, “thank you” notes, postage stamps.
4. Send a “care package”--cookies or baked goods, writing supplies, gift cards, OR send a monthly $20-$25 cash gift (check or money order). (See Deacon Matthew Nash address for cash gift)
5. Commitment months: September through May.
Your seminarian will certainly appreciate your support and will remember you in his prayers. If you wish your gift to be tax-deductible, please contact Fr. Neal Hock PO Box 1024, Kearney, 68848 or email [email protected].
